Richard B. Cheney has worked as a public official over a number of years, as well as a successful businessman. The current position he holds is the Vice-President of the United States. Cheney has stated in accepting his appointment as Republican vice president that he hopes to be a president candidate who is willing to be a cross-partisan collaborator and work with their political adversaries with respect and in a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941 the child of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. The family moved to Casper, Wyoming with his family at the age of 13. The father of his was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture was the director of the conservation district of Casper.
